Me, me, me, me…hum what? Doesn’t making melody require that we have melody?

D-Com please:

Melody:

  1.  musical sounds in agreeable succession or arrangement.
  2. Music.

    1. the succession of single tones in musical compositions, as distinguished from harmony and rhythm.
  3.
    1. the principal part in a harmonic composition; the air.
  4.
    1. a rhythmical succession of single tones producing a distinct musical phrase or idea.
  5. a poem suitable for singing.
  6. intonation, as of a segment of connected speech.

Hum well it seems so but lets look at what the bible says about this thing:

Ephesians 5:19 - 19 speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord,

Ok so we should back up on this scripture for some context:

Eph 5:17-19 - 17 Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is. 18 And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit, 19 speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord,

Ah, we should be filled with the spirit so that we do not get a Simon Cowel judgement. Ha. And so but when we are filled with the Spirit, and not just any ol spirit but the Holy Spirit, we can maybe should be able to talk in a singing voice. Like sing-talking right?  Now to be honest I have never heard anyone sing-talk but it states that if we are filled with the Spirit that we should be doing so. It feels like we are kind of missing out on something really cool right?
