Ok so if we look at two of Jesus disciples and exam their journey with Jesus we will discover that walking with Jesus wasn’t really no different for them than it is for us today. No they simply couldn’t leave the church upon a disagreement and start another denomination, but they had the same human issues back then that we have today which are at times so heated that we do in fact leave the flock and start our own herd somewhere else. And no doubt we hope that some of the healthier sheep will follow our lead, 1) to vindicate our position and but 2) to also prove to the other disagreeing leadership that even some of their own sheep agreed with our position which should demonstrate to you that we are right in doing so.

Oh, I know I must have just made that up, but anyway we should join Jesus in walking out His journey while dealing with us humans.

As we no doubt have read about Peter and John in the gospels and other such letters throughout the New Testament, we have also been spiritually inebriated with the depths of trying to understand all that they contributed to the New Testament themselves. Peter wrote two books, 1st and 2nd Peter, and John wrote the Gospel of John, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd John along with the book of Revelation. John was known as the Apostle of love and Peter more like an abrasive tough guy.

Now if we just review what they wrote we would think that the inspiration came purely from the Holy Spirit and maybe didn’t include any experiential aspects of their lives and relationship with each other.

Now unlike what we tend to do in todays church which is to ostracize someone that goes stray, or even just someone in whom we disagree with either by spreading rumors or quietly disassociating ourselves from them, and in the worst cases going to social media or playing the character-assassinator via text or email messaging, and of course on purpose leaving them out of the messaging group.
