Flying Mountains

Now this is just but a thought and I am speaking on it because maybe the point isn’t so much about a flying mountain as it is about staying open to the many, many, many options that God has for explaining what He means in His word. 

And so but I will present the case and point scripture without telling you what I saw or thought in my reading of it until later. I am including it because it is the trigger scripture for the entire message:

So speaking of His word let’s get it:

Matthew 17:14-21 - 14 And when they had come to the multitude, a man came to Him, kneeling down to Him and saying, 15 “Lord, have mercy on my son, for he is an epileptic and suffers severely; for he often falls into the fire and often into the water. 16 So I brought him to Your disciples, but they could not cure him.”

17 Then Jesus answered and said, “O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I bear with you? Bring him here to Me.” 18 And Jesus rebuked the demon, and it came out of him; and the child was cured from that very hour.

19 Then the disciples came to Jesus privately and said, “Why could we not cast it out?”

20 So Jesus said to them, “Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you. 21 However, this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting.”

My thought specifically in this verse is that a mountain can represent a powerful demon. If not why would Jesus depart from talking about a demon and then talking about a mountain and then talking about prayer and fasting. 

Matthew 12:45 - 45 Then he goes and takes with him seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter and dwell there; and the last state of that man is worse than the first. So shall it also be with this wicked generation.”

Seven More Spirits: The spirit then goes out and brings seven other spirits that are more wicked than itself to live inside the person.

The following are instructions for us to engage the demonic

·  Mark 16:17: "And these signs will accompany those who believe: in my name they will cast out demons..." – Jesus states that driving out evil spirits is a sign following believers. 

·  Matthew 10:1: Jesus gave His twelve disciples "authority over impure spirits to drive them out" and heal every disease. 

·  Luke 10:17: The seventy-two followers returned with joy, saying, "Lord, even the demons are subject to us in your name!" 

·  Mark 9:29: Jesus said, "This kind cannot be driven out by anything but prayer." 

·  Acts 16:18: Paul commanded a spirit to leave a person, saying, "In the name of Jesus Christ I command you to come out of her!" And it left.

Just as he chose you and him before the foundation of the world, for you to be holy and without blame before him in love, having predestined you to adoption of the Son of God of Jesus Christ himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, which he purposed in himself, to the praise and the glory of his grace by which he made you accept it and beloved, and him he have reduced him to his blood to forgiveness of sin, according to the riches of his grace which he made to account for you in all wisdom and goodness, having made known to you the mystery of his will, that in the dispensation of the fullness of the time, you may gather together, in one, all things in Christ, both which are in heaven and which are on earth in him. I pray that your love may abound more and more and all discernment, that you may approve the things that are excellent, that you may be real about your Christianity, and unoffendable until the day of Christ, being filled with the fruits of righteousness, love, joy, peace, long suffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control, which are by Jesus Christ through the Holy Spirit to the glory and praise of God. I ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will and all wisdom and spiritual understanding, that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing him, being fruitful in every good work, strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, giving thanks to the Father who has qualified you to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints who walk by the Spirit and in the light. I pray that your hearts may be encouraged, being knit together in love and unity, and that you would attain to all the riches of the full assurance of understanding, both of the Father and of Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. I thank my God always concerning you, for the grace of God which has been given to each of my listeners by Christ Jesus, that you are enriched in everything by him, in all utterance and all knowledge, so that you do not come short in obtaining or operating in your calling and purpose, nor in using any spiritual gifts or talents to perform mighty miracle signs and wonders, and that we would do the greater works of Jesus yet to be accomplished, that we would be found eagerly waiting for the continued revelation of our Lord Jesus, who will confirm you to the end, that you may be blameless in the near coming of the day of our Lord, God is faithful by whom you were called into the fellowship of His Son Jesus. Okay, so now therefore, my sisters and brothers in Christ, when things get tough, think about whatever things are true, noble, just, pure, lovely, and whatever things are of a good report. If there is any virtue, and if there is anything praiseworthy, meditate on these things alone. I pray that in these very end of end time days that you would let your love be without hypocrisy. Show people your faith by your works and service and love, hate and loathe what is evil, cling to what is good and righteous, be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another, not lagging in diligence, fervent and fully engulfed in spiritual fire, serving the Lord, rejoicing in hope, walking in the peace of God, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer, distributing to the needs of the saints, that is each other, and that you would be given the hospitality. May the God of patience and comfort grant you to be like minded towards one another, according to Christ Jesus, that we learn to be of one mind and one accord, striving to get along no matter what disagreements we may encounter, operating completely and fully in love, always striving for the working out of God's specific will for each of our lives, while working in partnership with each other within the church and the Holy Spirit, as He manifests His miracle signs and wonders through the daily activities of our ministry and kingdom work, and while we also go out preaching the gospel in word and deed, let us love and serve one another, our enemy, and those who wouldn't expect us to do so, considering each person better than ourselves. Bind up any words or thoughts that are contrary to the love of God, or which would set you back in your Christian walk. Guard your hearts from anything that would hinder the growth of your character. Call those things that don't exist as though they do. Remember the faith of God of which we have created the universe by the rama and logos word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of the things that are visible. All that you need for this life is invisible until you apply your faith to receive it, but make sure you make your requests known to God without fear, doubting, or unbelief. Never forget that he that is in you is greater than he that is in the world. Be more than a conqueror today, submitting to the will of God in everything. Never forget that you can do all things through Christ who will strengthen you to this very day. Let each of us express uncompromising love towards one another in humility, while maintaining a teachable spirit, seeking to grow no matter how much it challenges our current thinking. I pray that God will give you the revelation within this message that He intends you to receive with the understanding, and at him who is able to keep you from stumbling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy. Jesus said this kind cannot be driven out by anything but prayer. Acts sixteen eighteen. Paul commanded a spirit to leave a person, saying, In the name of Jesus Christ I command you to come out of her, and left. The following tells us that we are protected from Satan and his demons. The armor of God Ephesians six eleven through twelve. Put on the whole armor of God that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil, for we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers, over the present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Ephesians six thirteen through seventeen commands believers to take up the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the spirit, which is the word of God to resist evil. Spiritual weapons and strategy Second Corinthians ten three four for though we walk in the flesh, we are not waging war according to the flesh, for the weapons of our warfare are not flesh, but have divine power to destroy strongholds. James four seven submit yourselves therefore to God, resist the devil, and he will flee from you. eight. Be sober minded, be watchful, your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. Romans sixteen twenty. The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet, the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Overcoming by faith. Revelation twelve eleven, and they have conquered him by the blood of the lamb and by the word of their testimony, for they love not their lives even unto death. Little children, you are from God and have overcome them, for he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. So I wanted to take a deeper look at Matthew seventeen twenty to see what it means in the original. This is what it means. In the original Greek, Matthew seventeen twenty means that even the tiniest amount of genuine trust in God has immense dynamic power to overcome massive obstacles. The key Greek words and their meanings. There's four Greek words, of which I will not try to pronounce, but I'll tell you what they mean. So little faith or unbelief comes from oligos, which means a few, small or slight, and pistis. Jesus used this to diagnose why the disciples failed to cast out a demon. Their trust was weak and compartmentalized. Pistis means active trust, reliance, and faithfulness, rather than just a mental belief, meaning like or as Jesus says to have faith like a mustard seed, referring to its famous smallness, but implying a living, growing quality that actually works. And when Jesus says nothing will be impossible for you, the Greek position is from a not andis, which is powerful slash impossible, meaning to be powerless or impossible. Jesus asserts that outon nothing will lack power against you. The context and metaphor, the little faith contrast. Jesus starts by rebuking the disciples for their unbelief. Then he contrasts their failing trust with the mustard seed, the proverbial tiny seed of the ancient world. The mountain, moving a mountain was a common Jewish rabbinic idiom for removing an insurmountable difficulty or solving a seemingly impossible problem. The core lesson, again, this is according to AI. Jesus is not giving a lesson on how to physically landscape with your mind. He is teaching that true active trust, even if it feels microscopic, connects a person to an all powerful God, turning absolute roadblocks into movable paths. Okay, so but what I saw in the Matthew Scripture is that, well, let's take a look at that scripture again, Matthew seventeen, fourteen through twenty one. However, this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting. So the entire scripture is about dealing with demons, but Jesus in verse twenty cuts to a discussion about a flying mountain. Now I was taught that, as in the definition above, that mountains represent big problems. And but what I propose next doesn't take away from the scripture, but definitely should evoke a maybe response. What if within the context of that scripture Jesus was talking about the mountain as representing a mountain? In that one, the whole scripture is talking about demons, and two, like a mountain, they want to stay put. I'll say that again. What if within the context of that scripture when Jesus was talking about the mountain as representing a mountain, in that one, the whole scripture is talking about demons? So what if the whole thing was about demons including the mountain stuff? And two, like a mountain, the demons wanted to stay put. Yes, it is a what if, and it is so without adding to what I believe is one of the intentions of that scripture. Is it not strange that if we are left to define what a mountain is, that we will get a variety of descriptions? I guess this is okay, but it does seem a bit random unless the entire scripture is actually talking about demons, including a mountain, which again may represent a stronger or more evil demons. Now when you look at Ephesians six ten through seventeen, it hits first on four different levels or powers of demons. And where the level is at that might describe moving a mountain, I'm not sure. Ephesians six ten through seventeen. Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armor of God that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil, for we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against one principalities, that's one level, one power of demons. Two, against powers, that's another level. Three, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, and four, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all to stand. Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace. Above all taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one, that is, word curses and bad thoughts that you have, but word curses that come from others against you. And take the helmet of salvation, the sword of the spirit which is the word of God. What are all the other names of Satan, the devil, the serpent, and any other high level demons like death and Hades? Maybe we are dealing with mountainous spiritual entities far more often than we may imagine. Satan, the devil, and other high level powers of darkness are known by dozens of biblical titles, alternate cultural names, and high ranking demonic figures, biblical names and titles for Satan or the devil. Lucifer, Latin derived name meaning light bearer, or morning star, traditionally applied to his state before falling from heaven. Isaiah fourteen, twelve through fifteen, Ezekiel twenty eight, twelve through nineteen, and Luke ten eighteen. Belzebub or Belzabul, meaning Lord of the Flies, or Lord of Dung, identified in the New Testament as a prince or ruler of demons, Second Kings one two through three, Matthew ten twenty five, and twelve twenty two through twenty seven, Mark three, twenty two, and Luke eleven fifteen through nineteen. Belio or Belire, meaning worthlessness or lawlessness, used as personification of wickedness and an equivalent to Satan, Second Corinthians six fifteen, Deuteronomy thirteen, thirteen, first Samuel one, sixteen, chapter two, verse twelve, and chapter twenty five, verse twenty five, Judges nineteen, twenty two, and Nahum one fifteen, Abaddon or Apollyon, Hebrew and Greek terms meaning the destroyer or angel of the bottomless pit, Revelation nine eleven, Job twenty six, six, chapter twenty eight, verse twenty two, and chapter thirty one verse twelve, Psalm eighty eight eleven and Proverbs eleven fifteen. The serpent or ancient serpent, a reference to the deceptive snake in the Garden of Eden, and the cosmic dragon in Revelation, and the fall is more clearly identified when Satan ended up in the garden as a seraphim. He was a fallen seraphim. Anyways, Genesis three seven, verses fourteen through fifteen, Revelation twelve, nine, and chapter twenty two, second Corinthians eleven three, Romans sixteen, twenty, and Isaiah twenty seven one. The great dragon or red dragon symbolizes fierce power and opposition to God Revelation twelve three through four, chapter twelve seven through nine, or verses thirteen through seventeen, and chapters twenty two, Genesis three one and verse fifteen, and Isaiah twenty seven one. The accuser or adversary direct translations of the Hebrew Satan and Greek Diablos or Devil Revelation twelve nine through ten, Numbers twenty two, twenty two, first Samuel twenty nine four, second Samuel nineteen twenty two, first Kings eleven fourteen and verse twenty three, Job one, six and chapter two one, Psalms one hundred nine six, Zechariah three, one through two, Matthew four, one, and verse five and eight, John eight forty four, Ephesians six, eleven, first Timothy three, eleven, and Titus two three, other descriptive titles, the father of lies, the prince of the power of the air, God of this age, ruler of this world, the evil one, tempter and roaring lion, John eight forty four, Ephesians two, Second Corinthians four four, John twelve thirty one, and chapter fourteen verse thirty, and chapter sixteen verse eleven, Matthew four, three, first Thessalonians three five, and Peter eight. We have high level demonic figures, princesses and equivalents. Samil, in Jewish lore, an archangel of doom and accuser, sometimes equated to the angel of death or Satan, venom of God. This is not in a proved canon text, meaning it simply comes from another resource other than the Bible. Azazel, an ancient desert demon or fallen angel associated with the scapegoat ritual, Leviticus sixteen, specifically verses eight, ten and twenty six, first Enoch six through eight, and ten four through eight. Leviathan, described in biblical texts as a monstrous twisting sea serpent tied to chaos and pride. Job three hundred eight and chapter twenty six thirteen and chapter forty one verse one through thirty four, Psalm seventy four, thirteen through fourteen, and one hundred four twenty five through twenty six, and Isaiah twenty seven one. Asmodeus, a high ranking prince of hell or demon of excessive desire and luxury. Again, this is not in the Bible, but in another historical document. Mammon, a personification of greed, wealth, and material art vice. Matthew six twenty four, Luke sixteen, thirteen, and chapter sixteen, verse nine through eleven, and Timothy six ten. Death and Hades in the Book of Revelation, Death and Hades operate as personified cosmic forces or horseman like powers rather than identical names for Satan, representing the grave and the realm of the dead. Revelation one eighteen, chapter six, eight, chapter twenty, thirteen through fourteen, first Corinthians fifteen twenty six, and Hosiah thirteen, verse fourteen. I didn't see the Prince of Persia, Greece, or sin in that list. Daniel tense. thirteen and verse twenty but the prince of the kingdom of Persia, this was a spiritual entity, withstood me twenty one days. This was an angel talking to Daniel. And behold, Michael, one of the chief princes, an archangel, came to help me, for I had been left alone there with the kings of Persia. twenty. Then he said, Do you know why I have come to you, and now I must return to fight with the prince of Persia? And when I have gone forth, indeed, the prince of Greece will come, also a spirit. Genesis four seven Sin is personified as a beast crouching at the door, wanting to master and control Cain. And now keep in mind we also had partnal and part supernatural beings on this planet before and after the Noah flood. In addition, because of the following reference from a non canonical book, we have the following partial description of what the giants did. Remember in Genesis six, eleven through thirteen, Psalm fourteen two through three, and chapter fifty three verses two through three, and Romans three through twelve corruption of creation, according to passages in Enoch and fragmentary Dead Sea Scroll copies of the Book of Giants, the giant offspring consumed all resources, turning to violence against mankind, and engaged in sexual perversion and bestiality with beasts. What comes of this crossbreeding of supernatural beings having sex with animals? Anyway, this may come into play again in these end time days because it has happened in the days of Noah. Maybe this is how we get aliens bigfoots, abominable snowmen, and legends like the Loch Ness monster. I don't look for these things, but I do keep them in the back of my mind as these days wrap up. The exact phrase there were giants in the earth in those days appears in Genesis six four of the King James Bible. Other translations and later passages also describe tall giant like groups or individuals. The primary mention Genesis four states that giants, often translated as Nephilim, were on the earth before the flood when the sons of God had children with the daughters of men. It later mentions in specific groups Numbers thirteen thirty three, the Israelite spies reported seeing the Anakim, descendants of Anak, in Canaan, noting that they looked like grasshoppers by comparison. Deuteronomy two eleven and chapter two verses twenty through twenty one mentions the Enim and the Zamzamen described as tall people comparable to the Anakim as well as the Raphim. Deuteronomy three eleven notes that King Og of Bashan was the last of the Rapimon, the giants, and his bed of iron was nine cubits long and four cubits wide, about thirteen and a half feet or four meters. Samuel seventeen four famously describes Goliath of Gath, a warrior from the Philistine army, whose height was six cubits in a span, roughly nine feet, depending on the ancient cubit measured used. So far in my giant research, I have a list of at least twenty five different tribes or cultures of giants mentioned in the Bible thus far. That is a lot of big people who again were part supernatural and natural. In fact they were defined in the past by some cultures as the following Islamic folklore and legends. Post Quranic folklore features figures like Anak, often associated with the biblical king Og. These traditions describe him as so colossally tall that he could stand knee deep in the ocean and was large enough to rip a mountain off the earth to hurl at the prophet Moses. This might be an exaggeration, of which I think it is, but even the Bible has a similar story and because Satan creates nothing but is nothing more than a counterfeiter and a corrupter of what God has already created, it shouldn't be a surprise to us when we hear such things. The biblical context of the stance, the passage found in Revelation ten, where a powerful messenger descends from heaven clothed in a cloud, with a rainbow on his head, a face like the sun and legs like pillars of fire. The posture the angel places his right foot on the sea and his left foot on land while holding a small open scroll. So you see the Bible has a story of a giant as well but it's not a demon but rather an angel who sounds just as big as the demon or false god that they described above in Islamic folklore. The meaning spanning both land and water signifies complete dominion the meaning spanning both land and water signifies complete dominion, ownership and control over the entire earth and every realm of the universe. The key themes of the vision universal jurisdiction in ancient and apocalyptic writing put a foot down on a space represents conquering or claiming it. The stance shows that no part of the world escapes God's rule or his judgment. No more delay the angel raises his hand to heaven and swears an oath by the creator that the time for fulfillment has come and there will be no more delay. Identity of the figure many Christian scholars view this mighty messenger as a Christophany, a pre incarnate or symbolic appearance of Jesus, due to glowing godlike descriptions used elsewhere in Revelation. Back to the giant research findings in first Enoch seven two three, the ancient non canonical book of Enoch states that the offspring of the watchers and the women grew to massive hyperbolic heights, variously translated in ancient manuscripts and reaching thousands of eels or hundreds of cubic tall, some interpretations calculating up to four hundred fifty or three thousand to forty five hundred feet high. I think if they were this big they could have simply swallowed the earth like a gumdropural influence this apocalyptic literature heavily shaped later folklore and non biblical traditions regarding gargantuan mountain sized entities, but it remains excluded from the standard Jewish and Christian biblical canons. Humans are known for exaggerating stuff and so it is possible that these people back in those days also exaggerated as well. I cannot imagine a mountain sized supernatural being the size of a mountain roaming the earth but I wasn't there. Now I know that none of these references are part of the approved canon of our approved Bible, but many researchers and storytellers believe that these giants were large. When you consider what monuments have been built that no human could have ever built, then we can take some liberty with just how big and strong these giants were. I have a short list of some of the things that in no way a human or massive tribe of humans could have ever constructed in the old days before well there is no before because we cannot match the construction quality nor engineering even with today's technology and equipment. Several famous ancient megalithic sites and monuments are often claimed by folklore, myth or fringe theories to have been built by giants or aliens. Key examples include the pyramids of Giza in Egypt, the Stonehenge in the United Kingdom, Saxe Human in Peru, major monuments associated with alien or giant theories, Puma Punku, which is in Bolivia, part of the Tijuanica complex is incredibly flat and precise interlocking stone blocks lead some theorists to claim extraterrestrial assistance. The Moya of Easter Island, Chile, the massive monolithic stone heads and figures have historically inspired myths of giant carvers or alien visitors. The Nasca lines in Peru, massive desert geoglyphs, visibly clear from the air, frequently labeled by ancient astronaut proponents as landing strips or signals for spacecraft. Baalbeck, which is in Lebanon, features monumental stone blocks weighing up to twelve hundred tons, such as the stone of the pregnant woman, sparking speculation how humans could have ever moved them. European dolmens, ancient table like stone tombs scattered across Europe and Asia are frequently attributed in regional folklore to mythical giants who carried the giant rocks in their pockets. Teofihukan, that's in Mexico, the massive pyramids of the sun and moon features precise astronomical layouts that prompt extraterrestrial architectural theories. Other more localized structures within the US include in part, the Great Serpent Mound, Ohio details a one thousand three hundred thirty foot long, three to nine foot high undulating earthen snake. Fringe theory, pundits or alternative history programs have speculated that its massive scale and precise astronomical alignments could relate to UFO paths or alien geometry. I will not be including what the archaeologists claim as the actual origins because many are one hundred percent science based with very few believing in God or anything associated with him or the end times. So much in the way of their theories is like them groping in the dark. They can't really see the whole picture. And yes, that comes right out of the Bible. American Stonehenge Mystery Hill, New Hampshire details a complex of dense stone chambers, walls and ceremonial looking sacrifice tables spanning acres. Fringe theory theorists claim it required superhuman strength or ancient Celtic Phoenician giants to move multiton megaliths. Coral Castle in Florida details a one thousand one hundred tonne coral rock monument featuring nine tonne gates and massive walls the Fringe theory because a single five foot tall man, Edward Leesklin, built it entirely alone in secret at night between nineteen twenty three and nineteen fifty one. Conspiracy circles jokingly or seriously suggest anti gravity, lost alien technology or giant strength that was a cause of that construction. Okay, so let's look at why I would bring up this craziness. And yes we are still talking about flying mountains. So the following is what Jesus stated later in the books of Luke seventeen twenty six through twenty seven, verse twenty eight through thirty, and Matthew twenty four thirty seven through thirty nine. Luke seventeen twenty six through twenty seven and as it was in the days of Noah, so it will also be in the days of the Son of Man. They ate, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage until the day that Noah entered the Ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all. Luke seventeen twenty eight through thirty, Jesus immediately adds the comparison to Lot, noting that people ate, drank, bought and sold, planted, and built until fire and sulfur rained down on Sodom in the day that Lot left Matthew twenty four thirty seven through thirty nine. But as the days of Noah were, so also will be the coming of the Son of man, for in the days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and given in marriage until the day that Noah entered the Ark, and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will be the coming of the Son of man. Okay, so let's bring this idea round. So Jesus states if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, move from here to there and it will move, and nothing will be impossible for you, which has the obvious meaning according to its original Greek writings, which means it can be a personally described issue that each and every individual gets to define between them and God. And but my thinking is also that Jesus was talking about a higher level of demons and even possibly giants, which are assumed to reappear in these last days as Jesus said as it was in the days of Noah and in case you didn't know in the days of Noah there were giants. These may be giants that have been defined as strong or big as a mountain or that could toss a mountain anywhere they would like. In my argument the mountain represents the supernatural issues we will encounter in these days. Now here's the beauty of having and maintaining with all discipline practice and habit our personal relationship with God which is that you can believe whatever you want to believe as long as it can be supported in the Bible narrative. My goal in life and in this ministry is not to find archaic and random meanings in scripture and do messages on those. But I will say it only that when reading this giant thought did pop into my mind and I feel that it was God who dropped the idea into my spirit but again I can be wrong and it simply could have been the pizza Now see I didn't mean that literally since I don't eat pizza it's simply a metaphor and maybe even a legend. What is interesting is that in Luke Jesus only mentioned the two events the days of Noah and the days of Lot. In the days of Noah angels and humans did commingle and men were thinking as in the days of Lot of raping two angels in Lot's house. He could have mentioned any two events but decided that the most important events that we should be paying attention to included fallen sons of God, angels of God and mankind. Jesus stated in Luke twenty one eleven and there will be great earthquakes in various places and famines and pestilence and there will be fearful sights and great signs from heaven. Fearful sights meaning the following the word phobitron the Greek term means a frightening thing, a terrifying spectre or an omen, while mainstream biblical translations render it as terrifying sights or fearful sights. Some modern commentators and internet discussions argue it can be broadly or sensationally interpreted to mean monstrous apparitions or objects in the sky. Look at the warnings as we live in these days Luke twenty one twenty five through twenty eight mentions signs in the sun, the moon and stars, causing fear followed by the command to rise your heads because redemption is near. Matthew twenty four twenty nine through thirty one states that after the tribulation the sun will be darkened, the moon will not give light, stars will fall, and the Son of man will appear in the clouds Acts two nineteen and Joel two thirty speaks of showing wonders in the heavens above and signs on the earth below, including blood, fire and vapor of smoke. Will we as a human race see things we have never imagined to be happening on this earth in these days? Luke twenty one twenty six men's hearts failing them from fear and the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth for the powers of the heavens will be shaken. Seeing giants, mongrels, beasts and large scale demonic activity can be included in the mountain being cast into the seas. These things also fall in line with the original teaching which is that these sightings can be defined as mountain sized problems. We close shortly as I first want to draw out a picture of why Jesus stated Will I find faith on earth when I return Luke eighteen eight and that the love of many will grow cold Matthew twenty four twelve The passage in Revelation the hiding in Revelation six fifteen people of all ranks, kings, generals, rich and poor, slave and free hide in mountain caves and rocks I wonder why, right? The cry in Revelation six sixteen they call out to the mountains and rocks to fall on us and hide us from the face of him who is seated on the throne. The realization they ask for the great day of their wrath has come and who is able to stand, showing a complete failure of their attempt to escape divine presence. All I'm trying to show you is that those days are coming on us and they will be very intense earlier Old Testament echoes Isaiah two ten commands people to enter the rock and hide in the dust from before the terror of the Lord. Hosiah ten eight records people saying to the mountains cover us and to the hills fall on us in judgment. Do we have as Christians any reason to fear these very days? Nope, as we are more than conquerors in Christ. I'm not going to lie, things are going to get intense, but if we do not lose our minds and keep solid in God's word, we will be able to help those who are losing their minds and lead them to Jesus. We are going home to an everlasting kingdom where all of these corruptible things will eternally perish and this is the hope that we have as believers. If I am wrong in my assessment regarding the mountains, then it, no doubt, will not be the last time but it is never my intention of teaching mythology or some way outside of the Bible limits. Though I live in a house shaped like a box, I do most of my thinking outside of it. Let us close in prayer. Now to him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us. To him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations.
