Now I asked Google AI to list scriptures that stated Jesus was murdered, so that I could support the biblical use of the strong word, and it came up with alternate scriptures, but not the ones I know that are connected within the Bible. This is why you must read your Bible as AI will screen out certain language, and be it intentional or not, you know I know and believe that it is intentional, and will happen to a greater degree as we move further into the end time narrative. And again, this is why you need to know what's on the pages of your Bible. Use technology, but don't rely on technology. Acts two twenty three, him being delivered by the determined purpose and foreknowledge of God. You have taken by lawless hands, have crucified and put to death. Okay, so back to Jesus understanding his full purpose and calling in the scriptures. Mark ten thirty three thirty four. He gives another detailed prediction of being handed over to the Gentiles to be mocked, spit on, flogged, and killed. Mark ten thirty three thirty four. No, but it was Jesus himself that made that statement over and over again. He knew that death wasn't what way too many of us people today think it is. He understood it was a foe to be conquered so that we could be free from the tyranny and fear of it Revelation twenty fourteen. Okay, so but before we continue on with the scriptures that show that Jesus was fully aware of his mission and purpose, I felt the tug that we should pull off to the side of the road and reveal who death really is so that we stop reacting out of fear when someone dies. The only reason to be undone by death is if someone we know, without a shadow of a doubt, chose hell over heaven, and even in this we should not lose our minds considering how often the Bible warns us that this too will happen. In the Bible, death is frequently personified as an active, powerful force, a king or a hunter with a maw or string. Rather than just a passive state of non existence, biblical writers use vivid literary personification to depict death as an adversary holding dominion over humanity until defeated by God. In the Old Testament it states in Psalm forty nine fourteen, like sheep, they are laid in the grave, death shall feed on them, and the upright shall have dominion over them in the morning. Death is portrayed as a shepherd or a beast that grazes on or consumes humanity. Isaiah twenty five eight, he will swallow up death forever. God is pictured as engaging in a combat, whereby he swallows up death as an active entity. Hosiah thirteen fourteen, O death, where are your plagues? O grave, shale, where is your destruction? Death is addressed directly as an active tormentor, possessing plagues. Job eighteen thirteen, it consumes the limbs of his body. The firstborn of death consumes his skin. The actual scripture, John thirteen, fourteen through fifteen, and as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life. In John two, nineteen through twenty one, Jesus speaks of destroying the temple, referring to his body and raising it up in three days. nineteen through twenty one. Jesus answered and said to them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up. Then the Jews said, It has taken forty six years to build this temple, and you will raise it up in three days. But he was speaking of the temple of his body. He was even aware that after he died and kicked the devil in the teeth, and took the keys of death in Hades, keys representing authority, that it would be he himself that would get him out of that disgusting place, a place that all of humanity would have ended up in had he changed his mind about humanity. My thought is that he was dying for his future bride, who would be birthed to Through his death, that is his church. So why all the blood? So but I have a question for the God who knows everything, and well to hit the outliers on the sweating blood phenomenon, who may also be partially correct as the others and their reasons, in which you surmise that it was the weight of the world's sins that caused him so much distress, given he was holy, pure, righteous, without sin, and so much more, and that he was God himself who hated sin. Now, this question is for God who has a clearer picture than we do. Why sweat it at all? Now to answer this question, as it was rhetorical, in that it was because of a reason that I missed for so long. Now the Bible doesn't say why he sweated blood. Therefore we have the room to play around with what we think as long as we do not get off the scriptures and behaviors and identities in and of God. Are you ready for my take? And all the hands go up and say yes. Jesus sweated blood because he knew that once he took upon himself the world's sins, God the Father and He would be temporarily separated. Yes, perfect love separated from perfect love. In Matthew twenty four, forty six and Mark fifteen, thirty four, Jesus cries out, My God, my God, why have you forsaken me? This quote Psalm twenty two one, it shows Jesus feeling deep abandonment during his suffering. We could look up the word abandonment, but I think you know what it means. Matthew twenty seven forty six. And about the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, Lama Sakbanithi, that is my God, my God, why have ye forsaken me? So before we move on, let's look at the original Greek of those scriptures and see what it states. Remember, I don't pronounce English so well, so my Greek is going to be really bad, but we'll get down to the English of what it means as we move through it. In my mind, this was the blood invoking reason he was raining blood on the garden floor. Okay, so yes there are others who support other theories, but since I am writing this message, I get to support my idea as to why the Son of God was sweating blood, and I think it was because for the first time ever in all of eternity, God the Father and His Son would for a short amount of time be separated. My last supporting comment, and then we close, leaving it up to my listeners to make up your own minds, as there is room in our Christianity to do so without strife. Now may the God of peace, the one in whom we call wonderful, counselor, mighty God, everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace, may He Himself sanctify you completely, and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. To our Lord of Lords and our King of Kings, to our high and lifted up, great high priest, who has once and for all paid the price, that you might see and hear God, may He hear and respond to our prayers. To our God we stand and pray as He too always lives to make intercession for you while seated at the right hand of the Father. May the God of peace who brought up our Lord Jesus from the dead, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, make you complete in every good work to do his will, working in you what is well pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ to whom be glory forever and ever. Now to him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us. To him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever, amen. Well that's it for today.
